Well I have taken my emblem off just havent had time to get it filled. Once I do they will weld the holes and repaint the trunk. I got a quote of $200. One shop wanted $400.

You can easily remove the wing yourself, use the search feature or simply PM our member, FreebirdSRT. He has already shaved the rear wing and had the 2 holes underneath soldered with aluminum since that's what the trunk lid is made from. He even has pics posted in the forum of the before and after.

It shouldn't cost more than $300 to do. They have tig weld it, then sand it down, then fill, sand it paint etc... So basically, the whole trunk would have to be re-sprayed. Perfect time to tint your taillamps too..

I don't remember how much it cost for just the trunk, but it was $600 to do the trunk, smoke the tail lights, smoke the parking lights, paint the door pillars, and fix a couple scratches. Here's a pic of my rear end. I think it's sexy.

Here you go. This is the thread I strated that shows some pictures of the work at hand.

http://www.300cforums.com/forums/exterior-visual-modifications/16408-freebirdsrt-goes-under-knife.html?highlight=FreebirdSRT+goes+under+the+kn ife.

My friends did the welding work for me, since it is aluminum. They own there own fabircation shop. You have to have 5 years min. of Alum. Welding to be a quality Aluminum welder. So I let my friends who are well qualified do the work. They build custom one-off choppers, bikes and use alot of Aluminum.

Since we are buddies, they charged me $60 for all 4 welds. (2) in the hood for the windshield washer delete. (2) trunk lid for emblem delete.

For just the 2 holes in the trunk lid. Most metal fabrication shops will charge $50. Some paint and body places can do it, I like to use the motorcycle builders for the detailed work.

The welding is the easy and cheapest part. It is up to the painters, after welding, to make those spots disappear like they were never there.

Dubster is correct that the entire trunk lid will need to be re-shot, but add in labor to prep the welded area. Plus materials. $300-$450.
