Question 20" or 22"?

All,

I'm getting ready to pick up a 300c in the next couple months and have a question regarding wheel and tire packages. Obviously for the best look a larger wheel is better, and I've seen some sick 300c's on 22s. However, for my own purposes, I have no desire to make major sacrifices of ride quality or handling just for "bling-factor".

I'd appreciate any insight/experiences/opinions on this issue that you all may have.

Many Thanks

yeah, i too would love to put on some 22" rims on my silver 300c, however ride quality is too important to me so Ill be going with a really nice 20" rim and tire package. This way you still have nice rims, bigger than stock, and they will look really nice. Too bad Chrysler decided not to go with teh 20" wheels they were going to go with originally.

We have put 22" Davin Street Spins on a 300C with an 8mm spacer in the front so that it doesn't rub. The ride is suprisingly pretty good with a 265/30/22 tire. Obviously you can do a little more for a side wall with the 20's, but either way it will look great. Let me know if you want pics or any other info....

I think 20" wheels are the best compromise. IMHO 22's is too big and heavy and the comfort may be gone. 22 inch rims are really for show cars and non daily drivers.

Chrysler will probably have 20" rims available when the 300 SRT-8, Dodge Magnum SRT-8 and Dodge Charger go into production.

found this quote from Rapper 'Method Man' in GQ mag June 2004 about his personalized 2003 Mercedes SL55 AMG:

"THE WHEELS - It's the first thing I got done. They're twenty-inch Lowenharts - but they're too big. You can't have twenty-inch rims in New York because of the potholes. That's why I always have a flat"
