New License plate holder position (pix included)

I'm enjoying my purchase of my 300c.
Great car!
So i'm trying to do the little things right now and found great information on putting the license plate bracket "under" the grill.

I recommend this quick and easy mod to anyone who has a grill and wants a better look on their car.

Like other users say, just cut the 3 "brackets" in the back of the plate holder and then on the top left and right side, trim down the sides.

After that, just sand it so it can be nice and smooth.
The only "hard" part was drilling the 2 new holes on the bumper. It wasn't hard, I just didn't want to make some new holes

Besides that, It came out looking good.
Heres the pix:
First, I wish It can look like this but cops around here are real strict on this and I have gotten tickets before:

Before Lowering bracket:

After lowering bracket:

Looks great….a lot better lowered below the grille. You’ve done a nice job. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Definitely a better look. My front plate holder was already mounted at the dealer, and I was looking into filling the holes but thought about the ticket issue. I think I might go this route to be street legal. They dont need a reason to cite you here in LA!

This is the easiest thing to do!!! I did the same thing as Dubby just took off the braket and drilled new holes for the plate and the clear cover I have. I think it makes the car look a ton better!!!

Its funny how little things make the car look 100 times better!!!

Got a question about drilling a hole in the front bumper for the plates. Mine doesn't have any holes, and really don't like the look of the plates in the middle of the stock grill. I live in a 2 plate state. In order to mount the plates on the bumper below the grill, do you only have to drill holes and your done or do you have to do something behind that hole , so that the screws can be mounted?

Looks sweet.

And no front license plate here in Arkansas. Gosh I love it.

I'm glad I don't have to clutter my bumper with the 2nd plate. Does the lowered plate cover any airflow to the bottom vent?
