Question Noob questions...

Hey folks... new to the board. I just purchased a 2006 Touring (and love it). Someone already did some mods (look good), and I have some questions.

1. Somebody butchered the turn signal wiring harness (3 bulbs) putting in projection headlights. I need a new one. Does anybody have a discount source (other than the dealership)? Even a part # would be helpful.

2. I already have the "Bentley" grill. I think I would like to put the "B" in the rear emblem. Does the whole emblem have to be changed or can the insert be removed? If so how?

3. Finally, can the "300 Touring" emblem on the deck lid be easily removed? Or is it screwed on? I have removed emblems from my motorcycle with a heat gun. Is that the recommended method?

Thanks in advance guys-- I have read alot on this board, and I want to commend you all on how helpful and kind you are regarding questions. I have been on other boards where that is NOT the case. It is refreshing to see.

Welcome to the forums! I think I can answer all of the questions for you.

1. Call Mopar Super Center or Wyckoff Chrysler. Both are supporting vendors and should be able to get you a good price.

2. I believe they are just overlay's. Should just stick right over your stock emblem.

3. The emblem should be stuck on with just 3M automotive tape. So is your side molding, alot of members have removed that pretty easily. The only molding that I know on the cars that has a hole drilled to line it up is the Chrysler wing on your trunk. I would just use some fishing line, WD40 and a little patience, might not even need the heat gun.

Hope this helps!

I am sure a supporting vendor culd help you there.

You will have to put the sticker over the fac. one.

You can use a heat gun and fishing line.

Thanks guys. Already found the rear Bentley badge on eBay. Gotta love eBay.... I will be hitting the dealership first thing to try to get that wiring harness. Whoever did the headlight conversion didn't have a clue. One side was perfect, and the other side is a fire hazard. Weird. Was funny, I was leaving Circuit City yesterday.. saw a woman frantically pointing at me (car) and I read her lips... "Bent..ley" I laughed. The car does look very Euro. I have already ordered the side marker lights (clear), and have found a set of very clear rear LED lenses. That should make it pretty complete. Window tint is real high on my priorities (Florida). I will get you all some pics eventually. Thanks for welcoming me aboard!

Update: That was weird-- the harness was not Chrysler at all. I ended up finding out I have the "Stealth Auto" projection headlights. I have made a call and some e-mails to those folks. They are researching it and I hope they come through for me!

you have a touring, V6 car, right? LED tails for a 300C will not work with the factory wiring on a V6 car.

Thanks for the heads up dynomyte... I understand the base model has a single dual element bulb in the tail. But the 300C has 2 single element bulbs. I would have to get 4 sockets and wire them in. (I'm not afraid to do that).

Feel free to chime in if I am missing anything else... They will "fit" right?!
