Newbie - LED TAIL LIGHTS???

Hello all,

I just joined the forum and this past Monday I purchased a new 2006 300C. MSRP=$34,730 (paid $28,500). I think I got a great deal.

Anyway, I just purchased a set of LED Tail lights off of ebay.

See Ebay Item# 300067751830. Do you think they will look good?

My car is a black 300C. I'll post some pics at a later date.

Thanks,
Kevan

welcome to the forum and you of course received an awesome deal. may I ask what options came with your C at that price? You know BB is the best color but some claim BS is the fastest..I guess that would make the BS, BS huh? lol

Folks I am looking for these very same lights as well for my Touring. I understand that the 300C has 2 single element bulbs where the Touring has a single doulble element (3757) bulb. I have been told that these lights require you to run 2 sets of reverse lights (I assume in the center clear portion).

Is there something that would stop you from running the outside clear portion with an amber (stealth) bulb-- for the turn signals? Using the upper LED portion for brakes alone? Wouldn't it just require some cutting and splicing of wires?

Remember, I'm a newbie-- and I haven't looked at the wiring schematic yet. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to do the "Luke" subwoofer solution (I've already ordered the parts). Which BTW brings up another question. What is the best way to run the front speaker signal wires back to the sub? Is it easier along the door sills, or can it be fished back over the tunnel easily?

MC

I really think these tail lights will change the look of your car, in a good way! . I've seen this style on both light and dark colored cars and the look good on both. With your car being black, they are going to look sweet. Congratulations!

tail lights and great comments

thanks for the great comments and replies. When I get the lights, I will take pics of them before and after and upload them here. Now I have to decide on what grill to get. So many to choose from... However, I really don't want to take off my whole bumper to change it out.
