Trunk Handle

For those of you who wish the 300 had a trunk handle, here is one that attaches to the underside of your license plate. I have one on my wifes Saab Convt. They make them in four colors Silver bright, Black, Black Pearl and Brushed Silver. Here is the product desription: Unobtrusive. 304-grade stainless steel. Plate screw attachment to bottom of license plate bracket.

Here is the link to the items in the saab catalog.

Since my car is still on order, do you think it will fit OK on the 300?

I prefer the pull down strap (see How To thread)...

Isn't the license plate BELOW the trunk lid? Mines centered on the rear bumper, I suspect that this is standard

Frankly it might be a problem on the the 300 I have a Saab (Conv) and compared to the 300 the license plate is further down. That's why I say it might be a problem, not much room under the trunk lid. For my 300C I used the pull strap and it works great! If it works be sure to post pics, I would like to see how that work out!

I wasn't clear what I was wondering was, is there much of a gap between the truck lid and the bumper to mount it to the inside of the trunk lid and only have the silver tab visible on the outside. I don't like the inside pull handles, I have them on my other cars and i don't care for them. I am always fumbling with stuff in my hands and eventually just reach up and grap the trunk on the outside. They really need a power up and down like suv's and minivans. There is a thread here on that topic, but no solution as of yet.

Gotcha.

IIRC, there is almost no gap between the bottom edge of the trunk and the horizontal projection of the rear bumper.

We need a solution.

My solution is Tommyz's wing spoiler, on order...

lip spoiler for 300c

The S600 my cousin has has an automatic trunk handle that comes out when you press a button right in above the licese in that 90 degree angle area of where there is chrome on E55's car. That's pretty cool. But of course the car is also like $130,000 or something.
