How to remove mirror caps or front bumper pieces?

Hey guys, i gotta pull these pieces off of my car to get them painted, I don't want to pay $195 for labor to take them all off and put them all back on, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to take them off? The front pieces i'm referring to are the ones underneath the headlights in my sig, i can get the rear chrome piece off, and i dont even wanna mess with the doorhandles. Also, how do you get the mirror caps off??? Thanks guys!

Even if I'm wrong, here's another free bump for you.

If you are talking about the front chrome 'bumperette' I thought it was on with just 3M double sided tape?

As for the mirror cap, my understanding is that its not just a removable cap, per se. The entire mirror assembly has to come off.

If you're still trying to sell the car, why you doing more mods? Just curious.

To remove the front fascia as to get at the grille, etc. Assuming you know about the skid plates and fascia pan underneath... There's a bolt in each wheel well, and then some slip points under the upper facia as I recall. Read about it somewhere. Then the front just pulls right off forward. I'll see if I can find the thread here, or wherever it was.

Danno has the how to on the mirror cap removal. As for the underheadlight chrome pieces, you would have to take off the front bumpers, and un-clipp the pins underneath that holds them in place and it pops right off..

So the front pieces under the headlights are NOT held on with tape? they're just clipped on?

yes, there clipped on from underneath, just like the chrome piece in the rear bumper also. I color matched all my chrome under headlight pieces ,rear bumper strip as well as door handles. Im trying to achive that sporty look w/ my final mods taking place.
