SRT8 Trunk Emblem - Anyone Installed Anywhere Else?

O.K. - as my "handle" here might imply, I'm kinda "old school". When I "mod" a car, my design goal is ALWAYS to do all my mods like the Factory woulda/coulda/shoulda done it. I know I've accomplished my goal when people ask me "Is that factory?" I realize that most of you guys are going for MUCH greater degrees of individuality, and I respect that; me, I'm trying to go for the more subtle look of a "Factory Tuner", to wit: Starting with an '07 Silver SRT8, I'm adding the Startech grille, Stealth clear front/rear bulbs and front cornering/turn lenses, K2 Red LED tails, Stealth SRT8 pedal set (Not sure if I'll use the dead pedal or not), mild (read "Legal in CA) window tint, (possible) painted headlight covers, lower mesh "interior" grille inserts, and that's pretty much IT! O.K., now that you're done YAWNING, here's my question: Has anyone added the SRT8 trunk emblem in place of the front-most side door moldings (the ones with the "300C" on them)? I've got some on order; from my measurements, it's gonna be REAL close - might even need to bend 'em slightly or "relieve" both sides of the emblems a bit. Thoughts - cool/not cool?

Additionally, I'm DEFINITELY gonna add the SRT8 emblem inside, above the glovebox - a "missed factory opportunity" f'oh sh'oh! Who's with me!?

Did you have any "fitment" issues? Any more scans, perhaps from the side view? Did you do one above the glovebox too?

Here's what I'm planning to do with my Magnum SRT8.

In this photochop concept I have removed the HEMI badge at the lead of the side moldings and plan to put the SRT8 badges up and near the lead of a double pin stripe. The pin stripe will continue around on the liftgate, and the SRT8 badge there will be elevated up to the stripe alignment, not low as in the OEM position.

I am considering putting the Ram's Head logo badge at the head of the side molding line on the front quarter panel. Jury's still out on that one though.

I bought mine on eBay. I removed the 300C/HEMI emblems and installed the SRT/8 emblem on the door, above the chrome trim, 2" from the edge of the door.

If I had to do it over again, I would not offset them 2", I'd make it flush with the front edge of the door.

Does the SRT-8 emblem fit on the front fender?? I bought 2 emblems for my front fenders but the fender well has a slight bow so it does not fit perfectly flat on the paint. What do I need to do to mount it on the front fenders at the same height as the original door molding??? Thanks very much ahead of time.

2008 Srt-8

I wanted to add some front fender emblems on my 2008 SRT-8 but my fenders have a slight bow on the front equal to the height of the door moulding. If I place the emblem the same height as the door moulding then part of the SRT-8 emblem isn't mounted flat and there is a slight gap between the body and the emblem. What do I need to do to get the SRT-8 emblem flat on there ??? Thanks very much ahead of time.
