>> New Style Vertical Grill

There is a new grill design I haven't seen before that is now listed on eBay. It is a vertical bar grill, chromed ABS plastic. It looks good to my eyes-

eBay Motors: 05 06 07 CHRYSLER 300 300C CHROME GRILL GRILLE VERTICAL (item 150096385736 end time Mar-03-07 1636 PST)

The pricing is reasonable, at $175 + shipping, but this will drop once the "first on block" value depreciates

I feel ABS grills are a good choice, due to the light weight and corrosion resistance. I won't be going this way, though, just because I plan on modifying mine... I need an aluminum frame.

OFF TOPIC: Does anyone have an old (damaged?) aluminum or steel frame grill they want to get rid of? Unplated aluminum would be best, but anything that is metal would be considered.
I would hate to take a brand new grill and "un-plate" it and cut it up if I can avoid it.

Oooh - interesting. That's actually very close to the grille I want to have made. Not exactly, though, so I'll probably still go the custom route.

HA HA!
You noticed that too?

Hey, maybe they made a custom one-off grill to fit a damaged car...

Kinda like Stephen Hawkin's tailor.

I like the look of the grill. I have a bentley style grill made out of the same material and it seems to be holding out. I like the light wieght..about 7 lbs. I was going to go with the steel but held off because of the corrosion factor and the amount of salts that are put on our roads in the winter. Plus I do have a budget!

that grille has potential other than the plastic, the wing style emblem and the nasty logo inside it. I do like the vertical bars though. Its the first one with vert bars that Ive liked.
