My Spoiler is Here

Ok, so my FIRST mod (ok second the window tint was the first) has come in...SRT8 spoiler. Will I need to do anything special to put it on besides cleaning the trunk and sticking it on?? I know a lot of you have already done this so any advise will be appreciated. I'm still waiting on the rest of my goodies, they should be here by the end of the week. Thanks!

PICS! I've not done it, but I don't think you'd need to do anything other than clean the surface, use the adhesive promoter (I think), and then stick it on w/ double sided tape.

Good luck (not that you'll need it).

make sure to use the adhesion promoter.......I skipped this step and after baking in the sun for 1 year......the spoiler edges are now lifting up.....

this is going to be a pain........I will have to scrape the 3m off the trunk and the spoiler....and then reapply......with the promoter of course!!!

I'd say you'll be all set with the instructions that you're already following. For us Northerners, we need to heat up the surface of the trunk and the wing to make sure we have adhesion in this colder weather, but you should be all set.

Enjoy the spoiler! For such a subtle mod, it makes a huge difference.

pmpn8ez: when/if you remove the 3m tape, soak the spoiler/tape w/ WD40 for a few minutes first. It'll definitely ease your pain!!

Thanks guys!! It didn't come with any adhesive promoter, do you just buy this at an auto parts store?

Yup you can purchase the adhesive promoter. I had my spoiler placed on last month and it looks NICE! Definitely think it's a subtle yet impressive mod. Goodluck to you
