I found a place in Plainfield that would do it for $500 but they won't be able to do it until next Thursday.

I also found a place in Skokie that would do it this Friday pick up on Saturday talked him down from $1500 to $1000. This shop does it for Car Boutique that sells the LSD kit.

I have also thought about trying to do it myself but would hate to have the whole thing apart and not finish it would kind of suck.

What would you guys do?

I've assisted a buddy who owned a custom audio shop doing a bolt-on kit onto a Civic about four years ago. It was pretty easy with the two of us, but alone would be impossible almost with the weight of the door and trying to line up everything. The time consuming part is making fine adjustments to line everything up perfectly. I'd go for it!!!! You can do it!!!

Where are you located? Are you in Illinois and willing to give it a go? I'd only feel comfortable doing myself if someone else helped out that has already done one before.

Actually, I'm originally from Chicago Heights, about 30 minutes South of Chicago, but I'm in the Marine Corps stationed at Cherry Point, NC. If I was close I would love to help, but I'm pretty far away. Maybe you can find someone that has lambos done already and make friends with him and try to get him to help???? Just a thought. It's really not a hard job, not worth $500 or $1000 for a shop to do it. I think we charged the customer $200 and it took about 3.5 hours due to it being our first time. Good luck either way and let us know what you do.

That's the problem I haven't found anyone that has done lambo doors in Illinois for their 300. I guess I'll be the guinnea pig.

I wanted to get them done for the M&G but if I don't then I guess I may do them myself and just do it sometime after the meet when it is nice weather on a weekend.
