Change of side markers

Would like to change my amber side markers out to clear on my 300 SRT8. Have the side markers. Easy to change out?? Anyone know how to do?

yep, very easy... you need a 13mm deep socket. reach up from inside wheel well (have to remove clips and push plastic cover to the side).. undo the nut on the marker light. then there is a squeeze clip and it pops out.

I suggest running the bolt up the new light bolt stem before trying to install so that it cuts the groves in the plastic.

takes about 10 minutes each side.

and looks sick:

Two ways to go about this.
1 - pop out the three rivets on the forward part of the inner fender well. Reach your hand in and get to the lights.
2 - pull the whole facia off (easier than it sounds). 4 - rivets across the top, same rivets on the inner fender well, 10 or so screws across the bottom & one bolt above the 3 rivets on the inner fender. Pull straight forward. This way is much easier to see what your doing but takes a bit longer.
Either way those three rivets on the inner fender will have to come out. Once they come off they will need to be replaced with something else. They can't be reused.
The lights have a metal "nut" on the front half you'll need a small socket wrench for, and a plastic clip on the back.
Good luck.

GoofyTimL posted some pics. I thought they were part of a how-to but I couldn't find it in the How-To section.

If reaching in blindly sounds too complicated, you can always remove the facia and change 'em out super easy. G'luck.

Yeah, super easy! I changed mine out to some sidemarkers no one has ever seen before but I had the fascia off because I installed my halo's and HID fog kit. Pics will be up soon!

I KNOW people have seen them hence the winking face but I'm surprised no one has them as far as I know. I got pics up now on a new thread.

Here's two good installation threads for you to review on the install:

Here is another “how to” from Tork Monster that may give you another option for your side marker lights. Hope it helps.
