Mesh Grille Wing Ornament Plan "B"

I'm using the wing emblem from the rear deck of a Concorde LXi (and other applications, I'm sure). It's 18" tip to tip. The stainless wing supplied with the wing is 19-1/2" tip to tip, so very little difference in overall size. It is more elegant IMHO.

Mopar part # is 04805065AB, and list price is $55, get a discount if you can (I got 15% as a Chrysler 300M Club member). This is less $ painful if you planned to buy a new oval emblem anyway.

As you can see, my grille is currently still waiting for the car.

See pics. The second pic shows the wing next to the flat wing panel that comes with the grille.

Use a hair drier to soften the adhesive, then a length of dental floss or small diameter sewing thread or fishing line to "saw" up and down behind the wing panel. Use WD-40 to remove the remaining adhesive.

No runs, no drips, no errors!

Outstanding! That flat badge that came with the mesh grill had me thinking twice about replacing the grill. With the real badge in place it looks great. I'll be changing mine in the future for sure.

Did it come with the 3M adhesive tape already applied? I ordered one but it had clips and pins on the back that would have to be removed and then the 3M tape installed. Your pic appears to have a blue backing with a tab

Yes, this part # comes with the 3M tape and no pins. You apparently ordered one for a different application. There are probably dozens of different wing ornaments.

BTW, aspendog, please don't forget me on the console cover. I have the deep jade interior trim. No rush, since the car is still probably a month or more away.

Because of this post I ordered the emblem from the dealership, it is suppose to be here tomorrow. I too questioned the appearance of the emblem that came with the mesh grill. Thanks for the info. Ron
