Paint Question

Well, I no longer have my C as I traded it in for a new Tahoe, but I have a question hopefully someone w/ some paint experience can help me with.

I took off my bowtie emblems to paint them black. I sanded them, sprayed w/ adhesion promoter, painted, and then clearcoated. On my last coat of clearcoat on my rear bowtie, an F'n fly (I was in my backyard ) flew into the bowtie and screwed up the paint job. I waited until it dryed and resanded the whole thing.

My question is, do I need to apply the adhesion promoter again? Or do I just paint since I'm not really painting on straight plastic now.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Clear on Clear No problem. You shold be sanding between coats anyway. In fact if you've sanded with 2000 to just get the little mistake out the fly left, you can just buff up to a nice shine. Which by the way you can still do after you shot the clear again if you want, wet sand with 2000 and buff.

Well, at this point I have to repaint it... So, you are saying that I do NOT need to respray w/ the adheasion promoter?

Thanks for your input

Yup, you are on the money... I am very happy w/ the way they turned out considering this was my first paint work ever. Its nice to know that new things are doable if you just pump up your raisins and dive right on in!
