Tire size with 22's

Hey! I'm looking at getting some 22's asap and I need to know what some of you guys are running for a tire size that dosn't rub. kxwheels.com wheel packages say that the tires are 305/40/R22. Will that work? 305 seems a little wide to me.

Also, do you recommend lowering the car with 22's or does it fill the wheel gap pretty good?

Thanks
Mike

on my car i have 22" wheels i beleive 22"x10" not sure though they might be 22x9.5...anyways i have a 265x30 series tire. most people run with a 35 series tire but i was going to lower my ride after wheels and did not want to have any issues with rubbing. and for the last few months of driving i have had no issues. if you lower it i reccomend using a 30 series tire, if you dont i would use a 35 series tire, it looks alott better that way(w/o the car lowered vs. a 30 series as it fits the wheel well pretty good)

So do you think that the 305's might be a little wide?

possible could be - i guess it could depend on offset etc

I run 265/35 and have lowered my car 50mm - so far no rubbing issues and it looks 100% better being lowered

Overall height would be 31.6" which is too tall and wouldnt fit.
Those that have 24's and are shaving the bolt to get the rims to fit are only using a tyre which is 29.4" tall.

Stick to a 265/35 or like 300cKid16 and use a 265/30 <-- my preference

Thanks everyone! I'll go with either 265/30's or 265/35's!
