Bad Tint....Am I Too Anal???

So I just put 35% all around. It looks great but there are about 2 white specks the size of the tip of a pencil on each window near the top. You can only see them if you look hard and it looks like something trapped under the tint.

Also, some liquid must have gotten into the third brake light because I can see some left of residue inside the housing. It's hard to see but if I point it out you can see it. The cut around the brake light isn't the smoothest either. Am I being too anal about this whole thing or should I bring it back....?

How much did you spend? If it is bothering alot I would take it back. Just let them know that it bothers you alot and you want it redone.

well if its very new there is still curing for a week a few days for the windows tint to completely dry and for small bubbles to dissapear. if this doesnt you have one of two options take a small needle and pop the two white specs if it is water if its not water than take it in and have them redue them thats what warranties are for.
well for the rear that sounds like a little problem but for me i would have had 3rd break removed and had the whole class tinted rather than some cut out... but that sounds like a more serious issue.
So my suggestion if its fresh tint of only a few days wait a week to see if anything clears up. after that if it remains or it has already been longer than a week your shop should take care of the fix. the rear light sounds like he got sloppy with his spray and it covered the lense and he didnt wipe it or he just couldnt get to it so just left it and said f it. i am not sure how this could have gotten in the housing but if its on the surface of the third break light my first approach would be to unbolt it and give it a nice cleaning and bolt it back into place if water got into the housing this tinter really wasnt careful and who knows what he did... hope this helps

the bubbles will work their way out within 2 weeks. There's ALWAYS going to be residue on the third brake light. They have to spray fluid on that back window to be able to move the tint around and there's pretty much no way to NOT do it. You shouldn't pay over $200 for tint anyways. I payed $170 for 5% limo tint all around.

Thanks everyone for their input. The white specks are definitely something solid but I'll wait a few days and see what happens. I may just remove the third brake light using the How-To thread on this forum and bring it back and have them do the whole thing. Thanks again guys.

I am in so cal the shop that did mine charged $220 this included the 4 side and back window. The process involved removing all door trim to the tint is applied from edge to edge on the doors. To do the back window they removed the rear deck panel so it covers edge to edge of the rear window. when done it looks like tinted glass instead of a film added. there are no points where you can see glass without tint. I to am anal about the job being done right. This was the fourth shop I tried before I found one that does it right. so far I have used them 3 times. hope they never go out of business.

The one disadvantage is if it is ever needed to be removed, it is no easy task. So don't do this if you are somewhere where fix it tickets are given for tinted windows.

P.S. when getting tint tell the installer that the orange lines in the rear window are not only for defrosting but also the antenna. It makes a difference on the tint they use.
