According to my dealer, that molding that you are referring to is called Window Channel Molding

chrome door molding

I used this molding I purchased from Advance Auto (Wheel Molding) and it work great. cost $13.99 per role and I have it on going on almost a year with no problem. I simple used rubbing alcohole to cleane the surface, measured, cut and placed it on.

No, they come with the peal off 3m tape. I also used it for the fender trim on the inside lip of the fender.
