front fascia clips reusable??

Once you remove these clips can they be reused and put back in again or do you need to buy new ones? I dont see how they can be pushed back in given the way they look. Also, how do they come out? I have tried pulling pretty hard on mine and they dont seem to want ot come out. Any suggestions? Thanks

They can be reused but it is a PITA to push the shaft back from behind the wheel well. They are designed to be a one time use plastic rivit that actually requires a tool (plastic rivit gun) to install properly. You can also just use a pair of pliers and cut off the excess.

Just push through the rivit (round center of the fastner) with a pick or a small phillips. If you plan on replacing them just drill it out.

Ink,

These clips are designed, just like Aspendog said, (One Time Use) On Monday, I had to take my 300 in to the shop to have the grille replaced due to damage from some 'idiot' backing into the car. In order to replace the grill, the entire front fascia had to be removed. The dealer used all new fasteners for me. (I see you have a CV 300 as well!-Great Color Choice! ) I hope this information helps....

Sincerely yours,

Brian T. Carotenuto

ink, you need to cut the head because they are plastic rivets. The oem part #CBCOAO60 and need the following riveter tool to install #HUCPR75 made by Huck.

How-To: OEM Hid Retrofit

When I had my grill installed I had to replace all 6 for $7. The guys at the shop I had it done didn't have the proper tool and were able to use a piler but you should find a place that has a proper tool.

Unfortunately this is not my car...it is a car done by West Coast Customs....but I wish it was mine! When mine is done I will replace the avatar with my car

Thanks for the info guys. Maybe I will pick up one of those rivet guns as they are only $30 and probably a good thing to have laying around.
