Painting question

In relation to the price of painting, would I better off taking a used bumper to the painter that is already a different color, or taking him a new primer black bumper that you can order from the dealership? Would either scenario cost more than the other?

try ebay, for the bumper or World Parts Express ,both are cheap, but with World Parts Express you might be able to have them paint it for you before sending it. (its a network of dealerships), give them a call

Not worried about the bumper....more curious on whether there's a big price difference between painting a primer black new bumper vs. repainting a used bumper that needs to match my car.

new with primer because with a painted one they have to spend extra time, labor, to sand that down and reprimer.......depending on the color they can use the dark primer on their advantage and just spray the basecoat over it

also with a used one, there might be some time fixing damage in the used one.......as with a new one there is no body work involved if shipped correctly
