Question Going for the gold!

Ok, so I finally broke down and ordered a spoiler for the 300. I am going for a somewhat OEM Performance look here.

The idea of painting my calipers has been nagging at me for a long time. I think the G2 kit is the best one out there (so I read), but I am afraid that I will make a huge mess of them and have to live with it.

In reference to the "gold", I want to go with the gold kit from them. It appears to look like the color of the Brembo track kit brakes from the 350Z.

I thought about just masking everything off and painting them, but that leaves a lot of room for missed spots, etc. Ideally I would remove the calipers, brake pads and then clean & paint - but I am scared to mess with the brake hardware! Can someone either allay my fears, like not being able to stop afterwards because a bolt came loose or something - or give me some instructions on how to do this on a 300 Touring? I have searched and searched, but can't find anything for the Touring, only 300C and SRT - and the ones I did see say you need to re-bed the pads, bleed the system etc. I really don't want to get into all that - after all, this car has to carry me 80 miles a day.

Thanks!

Ok, think I may have found an answer to some of my question here: Front Rotor and pad change with pics. - LX Forums Modern Mopar Muscle

I guess this should have ended up in the Brake section - sorry! I still have the question regarding the "bedding". If I don't replace the pads - do I need to do anything special besides bolt the calipers back up? Also, in the thread above they talk about lubricating the guide pins/bolts. What would I use for this? I am such an idiot...

Should be pretty straight foreward, unbolt caliper, remove brake line.

I would also plug the line once you take it off because it will bleed out and brake fluid is nasty and WILL eat your paint.

Thanks for the advice. What I was actually thinking of doing is unbolting the entire caliper assembly from the rotor via the adapter bracket - that way I don't have to worry about the guide pins. I don't want to take them completely off though, just hang them underneath while I paint em. Any suggestions on this idea?
