tinted taillight ????'s

I like my tinted lights now but at night its hard to see the reverse lights and I see people with there reverse strips cut out or taped and painted and I was wondering if maybe I could take a box knife or xacto blade and cut the reverse strips out or will that cause water to get in to the rest of the tint.

Did you have your taillights tinted by a professional or is it just a taillight cover??? If their spray tinted then your probable screwed. If its one of those taillights coveres you can probable just very carefully cut around the reverse lights and remove it without damaging the rest of the tint.
