wind deflectors for sun roof

I ordered a simple wind deflector for the sun roof- I used to have it on my avalon and liked it so much I have ordered one for my 300 C- Any negatives? Does it look ugly?

I was just thinking the other day how the 300 has one of the quietest sunroofs I've ever experienced, with the least amound of wind turbulance....How much better could it really get?

I think you said it yourself jaydee when you said you had one for your Avalon (I too, had one on my 99 Camry)..and I think that's where they should stay - on the Camry's and Accord's.

personally i dont like the wind deflectors on this car.....just cheapens the look. however i do not like how chrysler designed the sunroof when it is open, where you can see the 'teeth' as i call them sticking above your roofline.

so many people have asked 'what the hell is that stickin out of your sunroof' when its open-referring to the segmented, rasied, blocks.

They're called diffusers, and they apparently make a huge difference.

huge
I couldn't even drive on the highway with it open before I got the wind deflector. Now, there isn't a speed I can't go with it on (well, 129.. I still can't do that )

thats why I ordered em

The noise while driving on the freeway is why I ordered my set// On my Avalon, it made a big difference in the noise. IMHO the ugly ass grille offsets any other ugly thing you might put on the roof

Well noise is definitely there, but at 140MPH my hair didn't get messed up. Can't say the same for the sunroof on my last car.

I don't like how they look on just about any car, but as for a specific negative, if you ever change your mind and remove it, it will have abraded a nice imprint into the paint on the roof where it was attached. I had one on my Maxima (it was there when purchased) and I removed it within about 1500 miles and found a nice scuffed area in the exact shape of the deflector.
