Came across a 2006 300 SRT-8 with 30K miles for 23,998

What ballpark do you think it should be in or do you think it is pretty spot on?

also anything to look out for body/mechanical wise?

I am new to this forum and I am serisouly thinking of buying a C300 SRT8.
First I live in the Gulf Area and this car brand new cost around 58000$.
I visited the dealer yesterday. There is a C300 SRT8, 2006, mileage is very low 4500KM only. The car is like brand new and it is in the showroom for the past 10 months or so because people here prefer the dodge R/T more for some reasons!! They are asking for 27000$ for this car. it is dark grey color full option but without the gig.

I need ur opinions, ur advices and i want to know what are the problems that i will face if i ever buy this beautiful srt8. please help. next week am selling my car and i need to purchase a new one. thanks for ur help. i am not expert in chrysler. i have more info about the dodge charger. but i love the C SRT8 and I want it.

Does anyone know where I can find the correctpush pins or clips for the door panel that are close to the hinge part on the door? one is the dark slate color to match top door panel and other is the tan color to match bottom, i am missing both of these and wondered where I could find um.

I'm looking to buy an SRT8. I've seen a few across the country that I'm interested in if I can come to terms on price that gives me some room to pay for shipping.

Before that happens though, what's the best way to get the car inspected closely to make sure I'm not buying into any problems? I don't have time to fly across the country to inspect the car myself and drive it home. Should I have it taken to a Chrysler dealer or is there an independent guy that would do it? Anyone here have experience buying a car sight unseen?

Hey there, just want a few pointers on different brands of exhaust. I have had my csrt8 for about a year or so and was on a budget when I first purchased it. I wanted more sound out of the stock exhaust so I went to the muffler shop in the town I live and they cut out the mufflers and that box in the middle of the car, then they put some tips on it. It’s loud as hell and sounds like a country boy going down the road in their Chevy. I don’t care for it much any more and I have noticed some differences in the over all performance. Need your help..... What should I buy for exhaust, do some add more power than others, I want the muscle car sound like it should have but not what I have now, If I am on the hwy doing about 70 or so you can barely hold a conversation cause its to loud, any help would be great...

i know, i know...power to weight is an obvious advantage, but this guy started it:biggrin:

from a 1st gear roll, pretty much a dig, as it was off a left hand turn.
i had put over a car length on him before second gear was over, and he started a car length AHEAD of me.
that thing is all wrong, too heavy, too little power.
it would need 500hp to keep up with us STOCK.

Just purchased a 2006 300C SRT8 - Loaded.
I couldn't afford a new one back then so I bought this one with only 18000 miles
(30000 km's) I'm Canadian eh
Car is Black with black/parchment interior.
I like to go fast and this car is just the ticket ( No pun intended)
My husband and I have been into mopars for years
Currently have a 71 Cuda Convertible, 70 Dodge Challenger T/A, and a 70 Cuda hardtop.

I just signed up in the forums and thought I would say hello.
I will be picking up the car on Wednesday. Will post some pics but I am sure you all know what they look like.

I bought a 2006 SRT8 today and I pick her up next Saturday. On the test drive the car was amazing. However I have never had a Chrysler Auto Stick before and had a few questions.

1. When on the highway going 60+, should the car aggressively downshift at WOT? This just up and took off smoothly

2. When attempting to light the tires the car all of a sudden bucked like it bounced off the rev limiter and the throttle seemed to cut out. Assuming that is traction control ruining the fun?

Also.....this car is missing the 6.1L HEMI valve cover covers under the hood but otherwise looks unmolested and totally stock. This a normal mod to remove them? Hopefully not too expensive to replace.

only had my srt8 for 2 weeks and i crashed it yesterday :pat:

So after having my SRT for a week or so now, I've started to fool around with it. The weird thing is, I haven't broken the rear loose yet. Its not that I want to, its just that I thought it was incredibly easy and happened all the time, and I'm curious as to why I haven't.

I hold the traction button until I hear the ding, put it in first with autostick, get it up to about 5 mph, then roll into it fairly quickly. There is no loss of traction on the 1-2 shift either.

I just had the newest flash done, does it have more stringent traction control? Or do I need to be at a full stop to get them to break loose?

Well after 63K miles full of smiles my 06 MSRT8 was traded in for another baby :) A human baby that is! We are proud parents of our first baby girl Isabella. We tried to make the MSRT8 work for three months after she was born, but we needed AWD, space, higher entry points AND the power doors are the ticket with your hands full. So Sally, our 2010 Sienna XLE AWD, now fits the bill nicely. We were going to do a SUV, but the space and power doors won us over to the mini van.
Trinity will be/is missed and I tell everyone that bang for the buck the LX SRT8's are fantastic.
I have a bunch of stuff that didn't go with the car I'll put in the classifieds: CD repair manual, rear cargo cover, Kicker Sub box, foam insert where spare tire goes, space saver tire from MRT, jack & mounting hardware, five winter wheels with tires and I'm sure some other stuff I am forgetting.

get into my car this morning to go to work, start her up, hit the brake, grab the shifter, it wont move.:12:

call dealer, ordered neutral safety switch. warranty. the dealer says to me "this is a common problem, but you are covered. If it's any consolation to you sir, this is a very cheaply made part, the whole mechanism only cost $100."
no, this is no consolation.
my next dilema is my car is in my garage. I dont want it dragged out of my garage so i rig my shi! so i can drive it to the dealer.
i restored the stock tune, also irritating, then took all the plastic trim off around the shifter and MANUALLY pushed the Neutral safety switch so i could get it in gear.
that's ghetto.:biggrin:

I Need Help, I Have Looked Online For Pads And Rotors, To Many To Choose From. What Works Good With The Brembo System I Do More Intown Driving Then Highway Also Can I Get Rid Of The Brake Dust, Its Horrible.... Seems Like I Always Have To Clean My Rims.

I need some help, last week I took off all the emblems and door trim on my 300. I ran into a problem, the trunk lol.... when I went to go and take the chrysler wing off the trunk it left some holes. I was thinking of just buying another one from chrylser here in town and having it painted to match my car,its has stock paint "that black crystal pearl" or what ever they call it. Does any one know where to find another wing for the trunk in black, I found a few but they all have that bently logo I dont really care for.

Also while I was on the phone with the body shop at chrysler I asked if the trim arround the windows could be painted or if they made those in black and the guy claimed that you cant paint those either. They look like brushed aluminum theres a thick piece at the bottom of each window and then a little piece that goes arround the top.

I would either like to replace or have thease parts painted... please help with tips.. Thank you

Hi everyone, I saw a really nice 2008 CSRT the other day which i am interested in getting, the only problem i have with the newer SRT's is the AWFUL integrated rear spoiler/brake light thingy.

I love the old SRT spoiler and was wondering if there was something similar for the new 08+ ones. Something that makes it look like a stock 07 but with a little slight cutout for the light. Does anyone make something like this? It would make my decision 100x easier.
