I was wondering if there was anyway i can get that blue light look without having to go the hid kit?

I have an 06 300C I just picked up used and the headlights are the crappy halogen yellowish. I know several people with OTHER makes/models that have converted them with the simple, inexpensive plug and play HID's. I would love to do the same. With the newly aquired car payment I don't have a lot of extra cash floating around for the expensive kits like the one AAC offers.

As I've read through TONS AND TONS of posts, I've found that a lot of people seem to be having problems with flickering, lights going out, and loud buzzing. It seems as though some people speculate and say it's because the electronic system is advanced and looking for certain draws from the headlights which is altered by adding this kit, others say something about reverse polarity coming from the Benz/German engineering, I've heard you need to add relays and/or capacitors and I've heard people say that doesn't help.. Some people seem to favor HIDGate but I'm still not sure about additional wiring.

My question to you is this, has anyone found an inexpensive kit and installed it, then had lasting success? If so, I would appreciate any feedback as to which kit you ordered, what additional wiring was required, and how/how long it's been working out for you. I clearly see that you guys seem to stand behind AAC as far as product quality but I'm not in position to drop that kind of dough on this product just yet. Maybe I'll add halos and whatnot later, but I'm looking for a quick, inexpensive, simple upgrade.

Also, my car was lacking the spare tire, jack, etc which I forgot to check before I bought it. Can you recommend anywhere to find a cheap replacement set. I've hit the local junkyards and had no luck so far. Thanks for any help guys!!

I have an '05 300C with OEM HID's. About a week ago, I noticed that my driver's side low-beam HID was out. So, I ordered up a couple of replacements from HIDGate, installed it, and it still doesn't work. I then disconnected my passenger side bulb and hooked my original driver's side light, and both replacements to it. No problem...they all worked. I've read here on the forum that people were having problems with their ballasts and that their lights will flicker or go off and come back on. Mine never flickered and, once it went out, it has not come back on (it's been out a little over a week).

Any ideas? :pat:

Edit: As a follow-up question, if it is the ballast, is there any way to get to it without taking off the bumper just to check if the cable is loose? It's my understanding that the OEM HID ballast is attached to the underneath/bottom of the headlight assembly. Is this correct?

I am looking to make my headlights brighter on my 300c...wanted to go a cheaper route...I know cheaper is not better... They have so many headlight bulbs at ebay or even at the local auto store. my question is do they work, are the brighter? any help would be great because I am in the dark (pun intended:biggrin:) when it come to these brighter newer bulbs.

I have a dilemma. I would like to get both HID's and halos this year, and i really want blue halos but white HID's. Would it look completely lame if i decided to go that route or should i color match the two? Any pics of what others have done in the past would be sweet. thanks

Why can't I have full light with LED interior lights without the ignition on or the car started, if I just press on the led light it low and flickers

i know the v6 300 headlights have 3 parking lights and the v8 300c headlights have only one parking light...when doing an srt fascia conversion from a touring fascia to srt fascia...is it ok to leave the extra 2 parking lights on each headlight (without bulbs of course) loose in the engine bay? or what can i do so the open sockets wont cause me any problems or wont become a problem?

So I'm looking to upgrade my lights. Fill me in, no experience dealing with lights, other than some pics I've seen on here. Couple questions.

1) What do I need for the brightest lights? HIDs? LEDs? Any company recommendations?
2) Halos - pretty sure the LED halos are the brightest and bluest, but who makes them? Do they make them for the fogs too? If yes, sweet, if not, who makes both headlight and halo fogs that would be really bright. I know Oracle makes them, and they're pretty reputable.
3) For both of the above, what do I need to do for wiring?

My wife's crysler 300 has some electrical issues. One of which the console lights will turn on or turn off randomly when driving with the lights on. Also the cigarette lighter wont work but I dont think the problems are related. I'm sure the answer is simpe however Im not a mechanic, can anyone help?

Good Morning Crew! Hope everyone is having a great Friday!
Well i ordered a pair of HIDGate HIDs and finally had a chance to install them.
I installed my ballast behind the actual bumper bar after taking off the front fascia. Zip-tied them in as i did not want to drill holes or trimback some of the foam from the fascia that rest on the bumper bar.

So i started with the passenger side which perfectly fits both ballast for lowbeam and foglight facing upwards. i used 3 zip-ties per ballast using plyers making sure they wont fall.

Moving over to the driver side i noticed that there was a large plastic air box from where the original stock airfilter went. This was taking up space so i had to eliminate it to fit the other 2 ballast (for low beam and fog light) on this side. It had one main bolt and 2 plastic caps attached to the radiator.
Taking this out probably shaved another 3-5lbs off the car and i'd like to think is making my CAI a little louder

Unfortunately i forgot to actually take pics of the ballast installed how ever i'll provide pictures for what was mentioned above with the lower airbox on stock airfilter. And of course pics and video of the HIDGate 12000k's installed.

What are the oem hid lights on 300c's 6000k,8000k,10000k?

Kicks the crap out of having orange on all the time! But then it blinks orange when the turn signal is engaged! Any of you have this on your 300?

So i ordered the regular 2 in 1 ballast/light kit from HIDgate.
got them in the otherday incredibly fast shipping.

i took a look and now i'm a little confused on where i'm excactly am i suppose to mount the ballast? if someone could please help as i would love to have these in my car by tonight or tomorrow night! haha

Pictures of ones installed would be great too!
(hopefully its an easy question) i dont mind if i have to pull off the front fascia i just wanted to see where the majority of people are mounting these
