I would like to thank you all for your help before. I got my cia and cat back and the car is running great. Now I need more help haha. I have about 3500 4K to spend including labor fees and I have no idea what to get, I wanted kooks headers but people said that the srt8 comes with good shorty headers. should i go with NOS, kooks headers, maybe heads, cams? what do you guys think??

Is it easy to install a new tstat in the csrt? what degree would be best?

I'm gonna be going ahead with the Protorque torque converter mod for are cars.Most of what I've read has this as a very positive mod for our cars.
I'm no tranny genius,so was wondering a few questions. First off,how huge of a job is it on our cars....fairly straightforward....or a nightmare??
Once the new converter is put in,how do you know where you stand in regard to your fluid level with our cars not having a tranny dipstick??
any info would be appreciated,really hoping this works out

Hey guys,just a basic fuel mixture question that I'm trying to figure out for my car.My theory might be wrong here,as the computer may figure some of this out on it's own.
Between the predator 91 tune and the 91 CAI, does the CAI tune just richen the mixture a bit more than the 91 performance tune? I'm just assuming this,cause I'm thinking an aftermarket cold air intake on it's own would lean out the mixture slightly.
I'm just debating in my case, being at high altitude and running richer as it is (3500ish feet) if I install the CAI, would i just be better to continue on with the 91 performance tune and not richen it further with the 91 cai or still better off to go with the 91 CAI tune. Again,the computer may sort all this crap out on it's own,and i know that either tune is not going to hurt it,but would like to hear any of the computer/tuner savvy guys thoughts ???

Looks like the Predator CAI/93 octane tune + AirHammer yielded some big gains for me, from 351 to 393 RWHP!
This must be near the top of the range of what can be expected. I suspect she was undertuned from the factory and these mods really woke things up.

Time for a new filter and instead of getting cai I decided on either K&N or AFE replacement filter. Are the dryflow filters better then oiled?

Does anyone else have the problem with the finish popping off or kind of peeling on wheels? mainly in center around lugs and center cap, has anyone tried sanding and re-polishing or any sugggestions without spending money on new wheels? Sorry posted in wrong section..my bad

i want to know if i fix mopar headers in my chrysler srt8 there is any promblem because they told me in dealer it mate bee check engien light abeer? is that ture?

hi i live in knoxville tn and am wanting to do a head cam package or forced induction at the first of the year. Im leaning more toward forced induction bc i just love it. I really like the kenny bell and have only see that high horse performance does the kits. Also does anyone know the usual cost it is to have a supercharger/turbo install. What forced induction are most people using on the srt8 s and what kind of power can i acheive and still be safe

Need opinion if I was to cut the bottom of the box off would this allow more air flow from the bottom??
Is it possible I may get a few hp gains???
Have the Chrysler Max Life Time Warranty dont want to have warranty issue with Chrysler.
Is this doable???

Hello all...
quick questions...how long are the spark plugs on the 2006 SRT8 supposed to last? My car is approaching 60K miles, and the dealer is telling me I need to replace them. However I have read that the 06 SRT8 uses an iridium? spark plug that is supposed to last 100K miles. Can anyone confirm? I think the dealer is just trying to squeeze me.

Weight is 80 lbs. lighter. They will most likely have added strength as they may advertise them as a race block.

Hello all...
Need a bit of advice / reassurance.
Vehicle is my 2006 SRT8 - 6.1.
I have pruchased (but not yet installed) the following basic mods.

AFE stage 2 cold air
Jet 180 thermostat
Predator diablo tuner

In the owners manual for the diablo tuner, it specifiaclly warns about combining the tuner with other mods as it changes air/fuel ratio. I know the modifications I am doing are very basic / tame, but I do want to confirm that I will not have any issues. I have been reading the previous posts on this forum (thank you all) and it sounds like there are a ton of people using these exact same mods without issue. Thanks to this forum I believe these modifications were a good start to getting some more power.

Anyways - if there are any experts out there who could reassure me and explain which modifications I need to be careful about....am considering exhaust as my next purchase.

Again - I just want to make sure I am not going to run into problems using the AFE stage 2 intake, diablo tuner, and 180 thermostat in conjunction.

Hi all, I have been underwater here for some time, mostly learning from the many experts. My 06' 300C SRT8 resides in Beijing with mild tuning. I am currently ready to invest in a set of S/C kit. After browsing through the forum on supercharger related topics, the following questions surfaced. I would appreciate any advise you can give.

Q1: It appears that, for more than once, folks have mentioned that the coexistence of S/C and pulley will create a problem? Could someone clarify on this?

Q2: I am down to choosing between Vortech and ProDrive. My ultimate deciding factors are ease of installation, simplicity in maintaining the kit, and durability. The technical expertise on moding American cars in China is very limited. Could anyone kindly point me to the brand that would suit me based on my above concerns?

Q3: Do I need to do anything will Diablo Predator, in terms of changing parameters to adjust for the S/C installation?
