Can someone recommend a So. Cal Speed shop that does suspensions (KW and such)??

I really want to get this damn clunking noise fixed or at least find out what is causing it exactly.

Any recommendations??

I have searched through the SRT8 wheel threads and am not sure on the best option for replacement of damaged OEM wheel lug nuts for my 05 300C SRT8 with stock wheels. It seems like many of us have had problems with the stock lug nut covers expanding and being quoted ridiculous prices by the dealers for replacements. Is the proper Gorilla part number 91147SS? Anyone have experience with these? Are there other options that I should consider? Any help is appreciated.

I currently have 18K on the car. Last year I bought a rear set of RSA's to replace the RSA's that came with the car. Since then I got the Predator and now I can't keep the rear planted at at all, especially since the weather has cooled a bit. Changing lanes between the 1-2 shift is interesting to say the least :scared1:

I would like to move the newer RSA's up front and replace the rears with Toyo Proxes 4 275 40R20's.

The rear RSA's have 3 to 4K on them and I would like to get some more miles out of them before I toss 'em.

Any downside to this plan other than just the look of two sets of tires?

hey guys so my srt8 is in need of some new tires what do you guys think about the stock goodyear rs a tires? (not the run flats)

does anyone have the universal air, air suspension system on their srt? ive looked around and their kits seem to be well engineered? ot does anyone have a better choice.

I'm looking into lowering my SRT8 and plan on doing it with springs and new rear shocks.

When I look at a site such as Chrysler Parts Direct it lists three options-

1) Without touring or performance suspension $80 / each
2) With touring, without performance suspension $95 / each
3) With touring and performance suspension $241 / each

I'm assuming the third option is the load leveling shocks, but what's the difference between the first two? In other words, which would be the better option for a lowering spring?

What kind of mileage(how long do they last) are you guys getting out of a set of Toyo's?

Obviously driving habits have a lot to do with that question.

Personally, I'm not that fond of roasting my tires for no reason, but I didn't buy my SRT8 to putt around in either.

Also, does anyone have a good picture of 275's all around on a 300C SRT8? I want 275's on the rear and it would be nice to be able to rotate them.

Changing my pads and figured it'd be a quick 1/2 hour job.. Well when leveling the pistons to get the pads in, the one hyper extended and is stuck out. :pat::pat::pat: I'm trying to get the caliper off so I can get the piston down. And I don't know if I'm dumb, but it's clockwise to remove the 21mm bolt (facing the car) right?

Brakes really started squeelin the other night.. So I've been a little afraid to drive it as to not ruin the rotors.. Well after an hour or so of searchin here and calling the dealer to find out pads alone were $700 for the full set, I came across Bendix. But of course there is nobody in the area that sells them. Ended up ordering on Amazon. Since I am stuck waiting on them, I figured I'd just buy a cheap set for the rears at NAPA. As my luck would have it, as I get a set of pads off, I realize these are NOT going to work. And I do not think NAPA has their parts correct. I'll have to confirm, but this pisses me off.. Just the thought of 5 days without driving Black Betty.. :crying::damnit:

I got my new Pirelli Blizzak Ice and Snow (245/55/R20) tires mounted and balanced by my new dealership yesterday. I generally call such places "stealerships," but at $13 a corner for mounting and balancing, I don't think the term applies! Especially since they didn't charge a nickel for the two bald toyos I didn't want back.

So far, no snow, but I went a little early because of the aforementioned bald proxes 4s. I'll post some observations on their performance when I get them broken in (500-1000 miles) and when I get some cruddy road conditions to challenge them. So far, all I can say is:

1. They aren't as pretty as the Toyos
2. They're noticeably louder at highway speeds
3. They're slightly less sure-footed on wet road surfaces than the Toyos (Of course, that could be the fact that nearly-bald tires are going to have drag-radial-like grip, as long as there's no standing water...)

It's been pretty rainy lately, so I do feel better about having deep tread...my near-slicks were making me nervous about highway speeds in the rain!
