Somebody was talking about this recently, but I can't find it. I have a black car and just got gloss black wheels. So now the whole car looks black and shiny - EXCEPT for the tires. Very gray looking in comparison.

I'm not a huge fan of the tires that look like they are dripping wet, but I would like to darken them up and give them a bit of shine.

I remember reading that new tires have a coating on them for transport and preservation, and that this "coating" wears off the treads but remains on the sidewalls. And that it is best to strip the rubber of this coating, then apply some sort of oil or something - which is supposedly good for the rubber and it looks nice.

Don't know if any of this is accurate, as I no longer can find any of this info. Just wondering if there are any better options other than the Tire Wet stuff you can buy at the store. So, what's the best way to make my tires darker and give them a subtle shine?

As always, thanks for any ideas!

I am hoping there is a solution to this as its driving me nuts.

My Dodge Rams Dash has a few scratches that are very light but very apparent.

Maybe someone can suggest a polish or technique that's used to remove these light surface dash scratches.
