Here's a shot of me and my baby on our honeymoon. (I've got my wife taking the picture) I would've had the car leaned before we went away, but my battery died a couple of hours before the wedding, so no time to clean her up. Maybe she was trying to keep me from getting married. Hmmm.....

Here is a rendering I did in PhotoShop. Its the wallpaper on my computer and the look I'm going for with my car.
Bits and pieces are done, the grip front end is in the paint shop and the coil-overs have been ordered.
It's comming together slowly, but with luck, it should be completed in about 4 months, just in time for my birthday.

1000th post!!!!!! And I'm very happy for this one to be #1000.

So it has been one long and painful process to get these new shoes on as some may know from my other thread, but I am finally off my donut and rolling the new wheels. It was well worth the wait, as this all started out with me looking for some cheap used tires for my stock wheels. That turned into me finding a "can't pass this up" deal on brand new tires with these used wheels that I just had to jump on.

I was a little worried at first because I didn't even know if I would like them, but for the price I paid it was worth a second set of wheels, regardless what they looked like. However, it turns out that I love the look on my car, so I really made out good. The black with chrome lip just goes well with my black/chrome car IMO.

These fat boys really stick out much more than the stock tires and they give the car a bit of a meatier look. I wish I could have gotten lower profile tires, but as I said - a good deal is a good deal and I'm making it work. Although I now want to lower the car a little bit more than ever... but that will have to wait.

Unfortunately it has been pouring all day here, so hopefully I can get her cleaned up and take some sunny pics soon, but here are some quick pics I just took... let me know what you think.

My 2005 300C does not have a 0-60 timer so I have never been able to really time my 0-60 times. Well, I got a brain wave. My camera takes 30 frames per second videos. Today I got to take a run out of town on some back roads where I could do some 0-60 runs ( actually about 0-75 before shutting down() and video my EVIC at the same time. By counting the frames between where the car starts to move and where the display hits 97.5 kph (60 mph) and dividing by 30, you can figure out your 0-60 time. The first run shows what happens when you get way too much wheel spin, on this run I got 0-60 in a lousy 7.6. Second run I babied it off the line and got a 6.5 second run. I am running the stock Conti's so some tires with better traction would put me under 6 seconds I am sure. Love that CAI sound.
