Fantastic....I'll echo another poster who wrote, "I never thought buying wheels could be so stressful". This car has me obsessed and I want to get it right before spring time so I'm ready to roll. My wife also thanks you as I can spend more time with her once I finally get my tire/wheel package. Really appreciate the help and look forward to seeing what one of these self-sealing tires weighs.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Had to chop the ice away from my storage shed.

I weighed the OEM 18" Continental Self Seals. Are you ready for this - these tires weigh 31 lbs. each!

That means the OEM rims on the 300C weigh only 25 lbs.

Hope this helps.

Dam.....thanks, it does help. I don't know what is more suprising....the heaviness of the tire or the "lightness" of the wheel.....thanks again.

Probably good news all around. A quality 20" low profile tire will be lighter than the Conti boat anchors. I figure you're good for up to 32 lbs on the 20" rims, but the lighter the better.

I was thinking SRT-8 rims but not anymore. They have an SRT-8 logo embedded on one spoke and that would just be false advertising.

Also, I'm reading posts from new owners. I doubt if many of them will upsize to 22"'s. They're mainly gearheads who know a good thing when they see one.

So it's back to the search for a light, good looking 20" rim that's under $500.00 a piece.

Northern, I too have been looking for a good light weight tire wheel combo. I contacted TIS on the weight of the 01s. It is a whopping 35 lbs for the wheel. OMG. So now the search continues… BC Forged makes 20” wheels that weight in at about 28 lbs. But I haven’t found them for anything lower that $650 so far. Trying to find a better price…..

Thanks for the great info. I've seen some MHT's at 25 lbs but at $1100 per wheel. Too much...I still have diapers and college for 2 so I'm looking a little more econo. $650 is better than I've been finding for any "lite" wheel. I consider lite under 30 lbs as most chromes I check into for 20's are between 38-40 lbs with a few in the 35 lb range, but not very many. If anybody finds a good wheel, good price, please shoot me an update. Even if it's higher dollars, I'd still like to see as I can up my ante without touching the kids college funds if I see something I really like. I'm going to check further into MC2's and see what they are about. The wheel/tire combo is very reasonable if it's as advertised.
Late.

does anyone know if the 275/45/20 work on the 300c if so it would be the perfect tire for appearance and handling but i need to know if it will fit.

Well it has been confirmed and I have seen with my own eyes that the wheel centers are bent on all 4 of my brand new wheels! They were taken off and sent back to the manufacturer to be "fixed" yesterday so I'm back on stockers for a while.

Man those wheels wells look lonely

My car is dropped with the eibach 1.5" springs and going back to the 18's after driving on the 20's with 275/40/20's for a month I really feel the difference. The cornering and general glued to the road feel of the 20's is much more fun & confident than the stock 18's.. but even with the car lowered the stock 18's mask the vast majority of little dips & cracks in the road.. I almost fell asleep it was so smooth compared to the 20's & springs set-up.

That said...i can't wait to get my shoes back.. she looks like she's playing basketball in Keds instead of Air Jordans

Thumbs up 'SRT-8' wheels/tires successfully installed on non-'SRT-8' models

Here's a link to where both 'Stevewrx' and I have successfully installed a set of OEM 'SRT-8' wheels/tires onto our non-'SRT-8' models.

Steve has a set of P245/45ZR20 Goodyear 'Eagle RSA' tires mounted on the front/rear on his '300C'.

I have Goodyear P245/45ZR20 'Eagle F1 Supercar' tires mounted on the front and P255/45ZR20 'Eagle F1 Supercar' tires mounted on the rear of my '300 Touring'.

Neither of us experienced any fitment issues whatsoever, and fortunately, we weren't forced to utilize wheel spacers either...which should be avoided if at all possible.
