Lightbulb Tech: Lower Front License Plate Bracket w/Template

Here's a crude template I made.

Photo 1 - I traced the side of my '300 series' OEM front license plate bracket which was properly modified to correctly fit the lower/center front fascia area upon installation of a custom aftermarket grill. (shown in full scale)

Photo 2 - The actual modified bracket showing the correct contour.

Photo 3 - Shows the original OEM grill tabs removed (cut off) and the front fascia screw tabs shaved down as to allow flush fascia fitment.

Photo 4 - Shows the modified license plate bracket affixed to my car.

Hopefully this will help reduce/eliminate the time consuming 'hit and miss' trial fitting procedure when trying to come up with the correct bracket side contour.

Nice fix. I from cali too Mr.DJ , and the front plate has to be on or its a violation (fix it ticket)

Knock on wood, but I think I'll take my chances with it off. Just looks cleaner.
