Custom South in FL???

Wondering about a Dealer???
***********************
Have any of the members here used Ross over at Custom South; http://www.customsouth.com I have been speaking to him about my first purchase and his gig is purchasing low mileage 300s, Chargers and Magnums at dealer auctions and then hooking them up with some basic bolt on custom goods. For example, 22" rims, dash kits, grills, pillars, tint, badges, seat skins blah blah blah...you get the picture. The rest would be up to you. The way he has explained it to me, he focuses on 3 vehicles, purchases his products that he uses to trick out the vehicles in bulk, and then takes a small profit on the car itself, makes his nut on the custom items and labor and delivers a ride to the consumer for a price that is still below what you would pay at a Chrysler dealer for a stock program 300C for example.

Let me know your thoughts on what he has; I'd be interested in what you all have to say.

Cheers,

C

I have spoken to him since and he advises SRT8 is not out of the question for a reasonable price with my preferred 20" in wheels. Again thanks in advance for your responses. Craig.

well i would say it depends on how good your credit is....ive seen a place like this in orlando and its a pretty smart idea but... seems to me the only reason you would go this route is because your credit might not be so good and you dont have the cash/credit in hand to buy all the lil goodies you want..so if you have the cash/credit then i would say PASS....you can find a good deal yourself on a used "c"..hell ive seen a few go right here...then you go buy the mods you want and have them installed your self..ill bet you save 1000's.
good luck man...be sure to post some pics of your ride when you do get it..

I own a small car dealership and we've done similar things on some of the cars we sell. I can buy a car at auction, add select customs peices (at a discount price to me as a dealer), and sell the car at or below retail, even after the mods are factored in! This is attractive to many people because they want a custom car, they know what they like when they see it, but wouldn't know where to start if they attempted the mods themselves.

As important in many cases is the fact they don't have the "cash in hand" to pay for the mods. For the price I can usually sell them the completed car, they can finance everything into the deal! I'm retired military and we deal with military people primarily and their out the door price is cheaper than the local Chrysler dealership can/will sell them [used]. The financing we get the (based on their credit) can be as low as 4.9% ON A USED CAR!!!

Thanks

I appreciate the follow up. I'm looking at it from a service point of view. I know what I want. I have good credit 700+; and cash in hand. Time is the issue with me. I would love to have the time to do the shopping; find the best deal on the car itself and then do the mods. I bet you are correct I probably would save some cash. Time is my enemy; with my career and family, he offers me something I can't manufacture...TIME. He is able to work with me on my requirements and provide a quality product. I haven't officially started with him yet but I look forward to it soon.

So far we have talked about a brilliant black HEMI "C" with 20" rims, scorps, and instead of chrome or brushed stainless I am going to focus on carbon fiber on both the interior and exterior.

I will be sure to put up some pics when I'm done...again thanks for the feedback.

I wish more of my customers were that informed and knew what they wanted like you do...life would be much easier for me! Sounds like it's going to be a great looking ride. I look forward to seeing the pics!
