Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater area meet-n-greet

I'd like to suggest that we try to put together a meeting spot local to the Tampa/St. Pete area so that we can get together, share our cars, stories and tips. Maybe we could make it a quarterly (or monthly?) thing and get vendors or dealers to come out and provide some tech sessions or other cool stuuf (I recall seeing a post about a "Meguires" day - something like that maybe).

Anyway... please post if you would be interested enough that you would find time to make it. If there is enough interest, I'll take some time to see about organizing the meet, and we can go from there. Maybe we'll turn this into a local club orr something?

I'm interested. There seems to be a few of us in the area. I think it would be funny if we had a load of 300s pull into a Sonic or such.

i'm the kinda guy that when driving by that surf shop on 19 in palm harbor, I stopped in to see who owned the black 300 with the vertical billet grill... I asked the girl at the counter....she said it was the boss's.. to which i quickly replied, would you get him, I'd like to talk with him.

She quickly replied, "I'll see if she's 'available'". Meaning no disrespect, i just assumed she was a he.... I chatted briefly with her, complimenting her on her taste in cars...

Driving away I had a good chuckle....

Let me know the time & place and if possible, I'll be there....start with one meeting and maybe go for weekly or bi-weekly. (just my $.02)

We go to Anna Maria Island / Bradenton area just about every year,
thinking of heading down to Ft.Meyers or
further down to the Keys this time.

How about making it a state wide event. Also, How about you become the Florida Rep for Club 300??

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'd rather focus on just having a good ime and the chance to meet all you fellow 300 owners. I'm sure there is alot of potential fun to be had, and I'd hate to miss out on it!
I like the idea of a state-wide event (assuming that we can find a location to accomidate it)... Orlando would be a nice "in the middle" location. Can you help if we were to locate the meet there? I would still like to promote a local area event though, as I would like to make it a regular event and would hate to have to ask everyone to have to drive a long way to get there (albeit - everyone would be welcome).

As I think about it, maybe I'll look at posting some "flyers" at the local Chrysler dealerships (open to 300 owners only, and they have to register here @ 300Cforums.com as "membership) and maybe that would drum up interest as well as get some more members for the forum here!

Im down to help out setting something here in Orlando. I have never done such thing But Im sure it could work out. How about you do the one Local over there and then we can figure one out state wide in O-Town. Keep us updatd on the local one and my dad (Blue C) and I (Black C) are willing to both drive over there.

Jim,

I think as there aren't many of us, we should just agree on a time/place. If there is significantly more of us later, it can become a regular thing on a regular time/day.

In terms of a meeting place... how about something centralized to accomidate everyone... from what i can tell, we have some north (tarpon springs, palm harbor)...we have some in Tampa area....as well as Clearwater... I think the only reasonable location must be Clearwater... I think that is central for most.

Where ? I'm not sure, but it must be somewhere with enough rooom that we can easily meet without any problems....have a larger parking lot, etc (as some may come from Orlando too....)

On Tuesdays I (sometimes) goto a motorcycle gathering in Clearwater at Quaker Steak & Lube.... It's located at:
10400 49th Street (At US 19)
Clearwater, Fl 33762
They have a huge area...+ there is the restaurant too.

Just my two cents... what do you think?
