Hopefully we will have a no hurricane week. Do you have your car yet? My Silver Steel 300 SRT8 is on the train right now and should be here with the next 7-10 days. Have you been on Homestead before?

lacking the ability to fall asleep this evening, i mean this morning, i figured i would answer for my pops (ghbbuzzard). i hear you regarding the hurricane. we shall all cross our collective fingers. my dad has had his car for a few months now - brilliant black with every option. absolutely amazing. have you driven one yet? if not, you are in for a very pleasant surprise.

neither of us have been on the track, although my friends race their stohrs in the dsr class of scca there and it sure looks like they have a blast. closest i've been to driving homestead is racing karts at the semi-permanent karting facility in the parking lot.

looking forward to meeting you and seeing your SS-CSRT-8!

How do you love carts. I have been wanting to do that forever. Yes I drove an SRT-8 early this year. I have a friend whose dad writes for the mags and he had one for a week. We beat the crap out of that car. I was very impressed. I am actually not going to drive the car down there. We are going for the weekend and the car could not handle the wife, 2 kids, and 2 dogs. Mike

mike,
karting is an absolute blast. i ran a few rotax max events last year, and one winter tour event. even a 4 hour enduro! i think i am upgrading to a shifter kart for this season. you definitely need to try it out. 6 speed sequential gearbox, 42 hp, 190 lbs!

I Apollo Beach is on the east side of Tampa Bay. I live on a canal out to the bay. So when I say no hurricanes I really mean it or my car will be floating.

What tracks do you normally run them on? Or do you run them in parking lots like a autoX?
