Mopar Remote starter problem, honks back a third time, no start

My mopar remote start on my 05 JGC used to work last year, but now does not work. When I hit the remote key start two times, the Jeep honks twice in response to the two key fob presses and then it honks back a third time and does not start or attempt to start.

I believe it's in service mode . I think you need to hit and hold the remote three times to rearm it . I'm pretty sure thats the procedure .

Based on my experience with the Ram trucks, there are alot of things that could cause this problem. Something as simple as a door not closed properly or the hood not quite latched properly will cause this. Could be a bad micro switch or wiring issue. Does the vehicle alarm work correctly? They are tied in to each other as well. My 2007 was dealer installed and cost warranty several times the original purchase price to finally get working properly. In frustration they finally installed a total new kit and it worked fine. Am not familiar will the service mode. Good luck.
