Need Help 911 05 300c 5.7 RWD Shaking steering wheel

Ok, my problem is a problem many seem to have in the 300's. My car is an 05 300c RWD, is lowered 2'' and sit's on 20's. The "shake" is only in the steering wheel and the car has no clunks, doesn't pull left or right, no slop, has SOME camber out(lowered and can't take it in anymore), two BRAND new tires, that have been balanced and the car was JUST aligned. I've replaced both inner and outer tie-rod ends and NOTHING has seemed to fix the issue. The tires made it SLIGHTLY better(old tires were bad) and nothing has made it worse. WHAT is the problem with these cars? All the posts on here only said to replace the above parts or perform the alignment and all that. What can I try next? It's SUPER aggravating to have the steering wheel shake @ speeds above 45mph+ It slightly gets better above 75mph and it's at it's worst around 58-68mph. WHAT can I try next? People say to take the 20's off but I don't think that's the problem. They are balanced and not bent or anything.

Just had a shake only 40 to 50 mph and after taking a look it was a frozen cailper and bad tierod. Check the cailper and also when were your rotors replaced last?

People always give me hell when I say this, because this technically shouldn't have anything to do with it if you aren't braking, but I've seen it be the source of this problem for quite a few people... warped rotors. It's worth a look if you've already done the things you have listed.

good luck

The wheels are crager ss 20's. Im going to swap some factory 17's tomorrow to see if that gets me anywhere! Then I'll try the rotor's. I'm at my breaking point on this car! Im about to just trade it off. Was going to get a 13 300 but this one is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. .. I'll be sure to post up what I find.

These cars hate any wheel that is not hub centric. I've been through that, as have a lot of other owners, with my first LX a 2006 CV 300C.

Let us know how it goes with the stock wheels.

Ditto for me. Road force balance cured my shake at 68-72 mph. Bob.

Im going to try the road force balancing and see how that goes. As for the stock wheels I took all four 20's off and went and got my buddies factory 17s from his 2010 touring edition. Well I put two wheels on and quickly found out they didnt fit my car?! Didnt realize the hemi c had bigger brakes than the lx or touring cars? They rubbed the calipers in the front. So back to trying something with my current setup. I hate problems like this!

this was happening to my car. i have 22s. i got all the wheels rebalanced and it went away. trying on stock wheels is a great idea to narrow down the problem.
