Nah - that wasn't directed at you. You pulled the trigger quickly and got some installed.

It's cwhite that has been sitting on the fence waiting for a 14th opinion!

Re: Trunk shocks on 2005...

Hey!... I deserved it but......
I bought them and got them a while ago! They are just down the list on my "to do". I was really concerned with wiring those side markers. We have some pretty crazy weather coming at us the next couple days so I really wanted to get the HID done and it was my weekend with my youngest daughter so her and I did the HID and spent the rest of the afternoon together.
I bought the Strongarm brand as you guys did.
I will post pics when I get them done as well.... I promise!

Hahaaa. Dude. Note that I said therealfleen bought AND installed them!

So you've had them the whole time?!?!? I'm not letting you off of this one. This is a 10 second install. Get a small flat head screwdriver and pry off the clip. Slide the plastic latch up. And off comes the strut. Reverse to put the new one on.

Ok, maybe I was wrong - more like a 5 second install!!!! Now get to it!

EDIT: Took me longer to type it than it did to do it............

Ya right... If I install those I will probably start to have some sort of unexplainable rear tire vibration and wonder if it has anything to do with the shock install!

Trunk shocks on 2005...

Just did mine bought the strong arms through Rockauto 28 bucks shipped lol. I believe strong arms are the OEM shocks too since the packaging said there from AVM industries. The trunk lid is much better now. No more slamming shut! Took 10mins to install too.
