Code P1694

Hello,

I am so frustrated with this car I have changed my spark plugs, the ignition coils, had a oil change and now i am gettitng code P1694. What does that mean and how do I possibly fix that or should i just take it to a mechanic please help.....

Google turned up : P1694 Tachometer Circuit High Voltage. Not sure what your course of action should be on it, can anyone else chime in?

I haven't dealt with this code myself but I did see some threads where replacing the crankshaft position sensor solved the problem.

Reading up on this on other forums for CJD products, they all point to the crankshaft sensor as being the culprit.

thanks a bunch plan on putting it in the shop to have that replaced, I will keep you posted on how it goes. although after reading the links you shared my car does start...hmmm
