I jumped on the car from a stop.......felt what I would call a stumble and the check engine light came on.

Stopped at a near by AutoZone and had it read......showed a P0730 code.

Cleared itself after the car sat for a couple of hours.

Any ideas? Just a fluke?

It don't like being jumped on.

P0730 - Incorrect Gear Ratio

Possible causes
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit

I would have your transmission fluid level checked.

Nope... But close.

You need a tech tool to check the temp of the transmission and then you use a dipstick (as Maddox mentioned) to compare the level in MM to the corresponding temp on the chart.

There are other ways to check the temp like a tranzformer etc but it will require something to do it with. I'll post up the temp chart when I get home today just in case you decide to do it yourself.

You will need a dipstick Miller tool or a homemade one as Maddog mentioned.

Not accurately enough... The Nag1 is pretty sensitive to fluid levels.

Look at the tranzformer transmission controller, great upgrade for your transmission and it will read Temps accurately as well (plus it does so much cool 'stuff' is worth every penny!)...
