Air conditioning woes 2006 Chrysler 300

My A/C on my 2006 Chrysler 300 is not blowing cold. Had the freon checked and they put a little in it, but was told compressor not running. Husband checked fuses and changed relay for compressor clutch, still blowing, but not cold. Can anyone help me out there. What else should be checked before we have it put on that computer diagnostic machine. Really don't have a lot of cash to throw at it right now, paid IRS taxes and sadly am near broke till payday. Please help.

Welcome to our forum!

I moved your first post over to Discussion on Issues / Trouble Shooting.

You may also want to try using the site search tools to find threads about A/C issues.

You will come up with dozens of them and something in there may be helpful.

In general, the a/c systems on the 300 series vehicles as not been known for defects or design issues. It is, however, a wearable complex system that does require maintenance as the years and miles go by.

Good luck on solving your issues.

The most common cause of automotive AC issues is a faulty expansion valve.

I'm having the same problem. The clutch isn't turning on the compressor. My dealer told me that it would be $1,000 for the compressor or $500 for the clutch asy. Does anyone know of a fix or know how to service the clutch?

Thank you,

Marc

I have a 2005 AWD 300 V6. Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram? It looks like my compressor for the AC won't turn on. Which relay do I need to check? The owners manual doesn't how. Thank you,

Marc

I have a 2005 C- and I just spent $1300 to fix a diverter door deep in the dash and a leak.
They had to take out the dash to get to it.
I hope you have better luck..........
