I have a 2007 chrysler 300 and the heater does not work. I took it to a shop and had a ac performance test and was told the heater core needed to be replaced. I had the heater core replace and the heater still doesnt work. Right after the heater core was replaced the vent on drivers side would blow heat but only with increased speed 70-90mph, any speed under that no heat blows. All other vents still dont blow hot air at all even with increased speed, just that one.
Please help winter will be here soon and no ome seems to know the answer.
Same problem I was having with my newly purchased UK 2008 Touring 3.0l Diesel I was getting a bit downhearted when I read of so many with the same issue & not seeming to have a solution in sight.
It's now November UK about 4 Deg & so heating would be nice in the car instead of cold air.Despite a bit of warm once on the journey home 200 Miles the day before The engine Temp Smack in Middle of Hot/Cold & when cruising slightly below middle.
Many attempts in various positions of heating controls since Just gave me cold air Through the vents.
I also found poor local & even far afield Chrysler dealers a bit unhelpful . Other Than "book it in " (meaning we can have a look & charge you to give an opinion on What Might be wrong!
But I spoke to a Breaker of 300c & Chryslers A chap called Sam I believe Chrysler 300C store on 01254 301021 Helpful & Knowledgeable.
Anyways He suggested a few things Like checking if flaps behind dash ( upside down look with head in foot wells to see if they were moving to vent air to feet etc.)
And that there may have been an airlock in the coolant system !
So Took easy option & checked Radiator cap on expansion tank & although the water level looked relatively good down the cap hole,it was below the low mark !
Topping up with my large kettle approx 8 cups worth I don't know maybe a litre or so the level came up from belo the Min mark on tank to just above but still well blow max mark ! So I added about 1/2 Litre of Anti Freeze as winter is Knocking on my front door.
Now its mid way between Min & Max on Expansion tank.
re fitted cap Started engine & hey Presto warm air even though the engine had only previously been running 10 Minutes !!
A further 20 minutes of engine run & car temp only mid way between C & 1/2 way to Hot about 1/3rd say of scale ( so Not sure if this is perhaps the norm rather than the halfway That I had whilst driving it home for first journey).
Now I am waiting to take her on a long run & re-Check water level But warm as toast In cabin now .
So It sounds silly But have a squint at the old water level in the expansion tank in case it is on or just below the MIn mark !
