2012 3rd Brake Light in a 2008 300C

Does anyone know if the 2012 300 3rd Brake Light will fit in the 2008 300C's third brake light. Reason for asking is thats where the rear view camera and the button for opening the trunk is at on the 2012's.

The P/N for the Lamp, Center High Mounted Stop Light with camera is 57010606AC as far as I can see. It lists at $564. The camera by itself is 56054058Ad or AE as far as I can see. The camera is listed as $52. I can't believe that the light itself is that expensive.

I was thinking of the same thing. If anyone else can confirm these numbers and prices I'd appreciate it. We'd also need the wiring and Lockpick plus the trunk button, or somethiing else to fill the hole. I hope the button is disabled when the car is locked. I could not find the wiring part numbers.

After looking at my 08 third brake light I think the 08 is longer than the 2012. I think...
I wonder how hard it would be to fit the rear view camera to a stock 08 third brake light with out cracking the plastic. This would be a good project I'm thinking.
