Exclamation "need help asap" code p1521 knocking engine

Has anyone have this problem this morning I started my car and wont start that easy plus its making noices when I check for engine light codes it gave me the P1521 "wrong engine oil type" but what about the knocking noices? took the car to the dealer but just to check compresion they want $600.00 + $100.00 diagnosis so any help that you can give me my car is a 2007 Chrysler 300c HEMI 5.7L stock.

All i can find on this is wrong oil or not enough oil or might be the oil pressure switch p0520, did you just do an oil change ?not sure about the knocking,also found this helpfull tool by fisch.

I had the oil changed in Chicago IL. About 4k miles ago and dealer checked the oil level and viscosity and its ok but I just hope is not a blown engine Thanks for your reply

The dealer techician just check one of the cylinders and it has a lot of fuel in it

p1521 is for VVT issues. You changed oil, My car owners manual is VERY specific to use ONLY 5W20 Oil meeting Chrysler spec. If you didn't do this and know for sure it was done properly you are not following the manual and the manual identifies the VVT may not function properly .

I don't believe the 2007 Hemi has VVT, but the 2007 MDS does require the 5W20 oil for proper functionality. So if they put in a higher viscosity oil the on-boarded nanny will complain about it!

How old is the battery Mr Gambino? Weak batteries have been known to cause all kind of false alarms.
