Well i was working on the car and ofcourse the wife comes downstaires decides to get into the car and turn the key in the on position so she can watch a DVD while i work on cleaning the throttle body after my catch can install. Ofcourse the IAT and MAF sensors were pulled off and when i go start the car i get a code. I disconnected my negative battery in my trunk reconnected it and the code was gone but my windows dont go up automatically like they did before. I know this is a problem on German car like my M3 i had so i should've figured this would probably happen to this car as well. Is there a way to reset it so my window goes back up with one touch automatically again like before?

What your going to wan't to do is turn the car on if the window is up, push the switch down than when the window is all the way down continue to hold the switch for 3 sec, then raise the window up continuing to hold the switch for 3 sec after the window is fully closed. your done.
ya it works just like before now, glad i was able to get that back. Its something small but when its not there and your used to it, its annoying when it doesnt work, lol.
Sodak provided the normal reset procedure...anytime the window acts up, just cycle while holding the bottom in place a few seconds both up and down. It will work just fine after the reset.

I've had that ailment with regularity (insert joke here) and have to reset it every month or so. I don't slam the door, but it drops the auto up/down feature often.
Since it's no big deal, I've avoided having service where they have to pull the driver's door apart to replace anything.
It's such an easy quick-fix, I live with it as is.

(eta: did they ever issue a TSO on this problem?)
Not sure of the TSO,but mine started doing that when my battery was starting to go bad, changed battery and all is good again.
