I think its fine to put the front and rear lips on, exhaust, brembos, etc as long as you don't put the badge on your car. The SRT8 badge on a non-srt8 is where you cross the line (unless you have done the full srt8 conversion (engine, etc) to your car.
True that

BMW drivers are the worst for this check out how many have M badges on non M cars, especially older ones with M3 badges, i use to love cruising along side to let them check out the real deal and let them know i knew theirs was fake before flooring it away. Childish i know but i hate fakes.

Actually, as a former owner of a real Integra Type R, I can say that fake R emblems are probably the most prevalent and IMO the tackiest.
Hated that fake R crap.
Okay...after starting this thread I have been conscious of this performance badge transplanting on other manufacturers. Lo and behold, I see a Merc S500 with the AMG badge on it. Now please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't ALL AMG's designated with a two digit model rather than three? And are there easy ways to easily determine differences in the AMG's, M's, and the R's, without studying each model individually? If it would be too lengthy to explain here, then just skip it, I will just research all of them when I have time, just a pet peeve of mine now

The wife and I were pulling into the parking lot of Burlington Coat Factory on the east side of Columbus, Ohio in the BB CSRT8. She notices a BB 300C SRT8 (or so she thought), I quickly pointed out the lack of Brembos, front and rear lips, 20" wheels etc,etc...So tell me this, I understand it is pure speculation, but why would anyone want to put an SRT8 badge on the the deck lid of a 300C? I mean, I know that there are some wannabe's out there but geesh! I just don't understand people sometimes. I am just looking for a conversation I guess, but it kind of blows my mind.
I think the problem was that you were on the east side of Columbus! Probably a common sight out there.
EDIT: I'm just kidding of course - I'm in Cbus myself
A real Integra R has no sunroof, no side moulding. However the base model was very similar... look for the 5 lug vs 4 lug wheels. R will have 5.
There are other things to see too, but right off the bat, these three give aways...

Why flame the guy - he may not have even done it, or know better (doubtful, but possible). It's his ride, so he can paint it pink and put a Ferarri emblem on it if he wants.
He probably took his lead from the manufacturers themselves - who are IMO the worst at this - Cadillac Yukon's, Lincoln Taurus', Lexus Camry's, Acura Accords, Infinity Maxima's, etc., etc., etc. And probably the biggest posuer of all times - the TC by Maserati (actually a Chrysler LeBaron with a porthole in the removeable hard top.

And weren't real Type-R Integras in the color white only? Or was that only for a certain period?
