Both of those (300c & TJM) had to at least have tuners to disable the governor; all '05 and '06 5.7's were goverened at 128 mph. I'm not sure about newer years but I assume they were as well.

I can back this up to some degree My cutout was 130 mph until I got the tuner. After the tuner I found the front end started to "float" at 140. A custom front spoiler helped a lot to keep the car down above that speed. Lowering is next.

With Predator only my 06 hit 157mph on a slight down hill run in Kentucky (and it was a very slight downhill as well!)... 128ish before limiter removal.... now.... 166 with more left in her! :-) God I love my car... still... :-)

Fuel cut-off is @ 131, which coincidentally is the limit of the "H" rated tires. I suspect collusion.

In my car 160 is a flash, but she has run faster. There's not enough safe road here to top it out. But I suspect that around 180 is the drag limited top speed of a stocker 6.1 in good tune.
