ohhhhh - I might just be interested in these. Never been a fan of the ones that stick on the outside of the mirror.

So was it is easy on our mirrors as it looked in the video?

Good find.

Yes, it worked just like the video. It's not hard at all, just takes time running the wires.
And you can get them on ebay for a little less

Hmmm....very tempted to do this myself. No problems with auto dim feature on mirrors? Where's the easiest spot to splice the wires to?

I do not have auto dim.

I had to use 4 screw drivers to get the mirror out of the housing. It's held on by 6 tabs, so I had to get 3 pryed up, then the 4th one would let it start to come off. If you try this, be careful not to break them

I then removed the mirror (of course I had to remove the door panel) and fed the wires through with the help of a hanger. You do have to pull the rubber stuf away from the housing to get to the hole the harness goes through.

I then remounted the mirror on the housing and put it back on the car. Ran the wires through the boot (had to add wire to the led leads)
It is easier to run the wires through the boot first, then remove the connector from the car and find a hole in the connector to run the wires through to the inside of the car.

Once inside the car route the wires to the passenger side. You should have already removed the kick panel to the bundle of wires. The passenger side turn signal wire is White / Yellow stripe the drivers side is White / Dark Green stripe. There are 2 with a dark green stripe so you will have to test them to fine the right 1.

From what I understand, if you have a separate bulb for REAR turn signals you can find the wires here, if not then you have to get to the front signal so you have to go through the firewall some how (not sure on this)

I am very happy with how it all turned out, it took about 3-4 hrs per side. Running the wires took the most time, especially getting through the boot and connector (that was a pain)[/QUOTE]

I bought these awhile back when you posted this and just stumbled across them in my garage today. So they're on the TO DO list.

Question for ya - do they cause hyperflash / do I need a resistor? And what did you use for ground?

Thanks.

Bumping this again... finally decided to start digging in on this.

I was able to find the wires I needed in the bundle behind the kick panel on the floor of the passenger side. White/yellow for right turn, white/dark green for left turn, and found a black/white that was a good ground...

Problem is that when I tested them, the LED pattern is screwed up. Instead of going top and bottom of the first arrow, then top and bottom of the second arrow, then finally top and bottom of the third arrow... mine are zig-zagging for some reason. So they go bottom of the first arrow, then top of the second arrow, then bottom of the third arrow. ??? The opposite side that isn't lighting up actually faintly lights just a little bit, but nothing like the bright LED's on the opposite side of them. I tried both turn signals I have and I tried tapping them into both sides of signals coming from the car... and regardless, I get the zig-zag pattern.

Might be hard to tell in the video, but here is the weird pattern...

Any advice? Do I have a bad set? (if only one was doing it then maybe, but it's hard to believe that both are faulty in the exact same way)

Or I'm thinking maybe they need some sort of resistor? They aren't causing my front and rear turn signals to hyperflash or do anything different, so I'm not sure if that's it either.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm certainly going to wait to install them in my mirrors until I can get them to test properly first.

That is weird, I did not use any resistors. I grounded mine to the frame behind the glove box, might try that..
