2005 300C sound System replacement

I have an 05 300c with an 8 speaker system/amplifier, and am replacing it with a double din pioneer receiver. I need to buy the wiring harness that connects the can bus system, and am trying to determine if I have a Boston Acoustic system or not. How do I figure that out? I don't see any BA logos anywhere, so I assume I don't have that system. Is that Correct?

Don't count on having a logo. Check each speaker location, especially the center channel in the dash, for a speaker. Pull one of the dash speakers out and check the stamp on the back side of it. All the BA systems I have seen have a Boston Acoustics logo stamped on the back of the speakers.

If there is no BA logo or a center channel speaker, then you have the 6 spkr non-BA system.

However, to get the right canbus system harness adapter for the head unit replacement, it won't matter. Just get the correct harness that allows a Pioneer head unit to interface with the stock harness. What's needed is to know what head unit you have, whether or not you have navigation now, if you are adding navigation with the Pioneer unit you are installing and whether or not you have steering wheel controls.

Then, I can help with the right harness adapter(s).
