MDS reset question

Decided to do the MDS reset since I was barely able to get 13 or 14 MPG in city and 23+ MPG only at speeds just under 60MPH on highway on cruise. I strated the car on 1st, WOT till over 35mph, foot off the accelerator and down to a stop. The instructions posted elsewhere on this forum state that the DTCs need to be cleared after the ignition off/on procedure. My Scangauge shows "no DTC codes" and hence no ability to clear codes. Does this sound right? Will the MDS reset work in this case?

thanks muchly,

Jay
