3 Step Process

Step 1: Add a CAI
Step 2: Replace stock mufflers with a catback (Zoomers are awesome BTW)
Step 3: Jet Chip

Now you get 22MPG on the freeway, you can pass anything, you launch off the line with authority and your friends think it is the coolest thing they've ever heard. If you're a good friend and let them drive it they truly appreciate the above mentioned three step program.

Ok I took your advice I put the Mopar CAI on his car and put stock on mine. As you know with me drving mine with the Mopar CAI I won all 3 runs.

With the Mopar CAI on his car in 3 runs with the stock now on mine he was able to pull on me at about the same distance as I was on him when I had the Mopar CAI. One of the runs was very close, so I wanted to switch cars so that I drove his and he drove mine and I was able to gain the same amount of lead on my car that I did on his when I had the Mopar CAI on it.

These are not complelty scientific, but it did show me that at the very least the Mopar CAI may have improved throttle response which is creating the faster of the line launch. In 2 different cars the car with the Mopar CAI was able to beat the stock each time. Even after switiching drivers the results remained the same, the vehicle with the Mopar CAI always Won. Note all other things were stock the vehicles both were in 1500 miles of each other on the odometer so mileage on the vehicles were not a factor.

that's good news for all of us interested in CAI's........much better than sitting on a dyno.......real world results. Thanks for taking the time to do this

Thanks, kobe8 for the testing. Good info. One more test now would be to put just a K and N, or other high efficiency drop in filter in his stock airbox and give it a try. I suspect the stock filter is a little more restrictive than the high efficiency ones. Bet it would get closer yet with that setup.
