Talking Milkman got an upgrade :)

Howdy folks,
It's been a while since I posted because of moving, a new job etc etc etc.
Anyway, I paid off my 300 Touring with the sale of my house and got REAL tired of people asking at the gas station if it had a Hemi so I said screw it and purchased a Hemi (C) last Thursday. I got another Cool Vanilla. I looked at the new Silver Steel but thought the Cool Vanilla still looked the best in my opinion. The car had U-Connect and Sirius Radio and tint. All I can say is Holy @#^& I'm in love all over again. I wasn't sure if the C would be that different but believe me it is. All I can say is this - If you can afford a C buy it. The Touring is a great car but the C really is IT! So I will start reading about all the mods. I like the chrome rims for now so Wheel and Tire package will be after performance upgrades. Let me know what everyone thinks are the best upgrades for the money to date and I will start there.
THANKS and C-you later I know kinda *** but dammit I'm happy.

Good choice, great color. As far as best performance upgrades for the buck goes, I'll present the following to you and you can check out all related post in order to make your own decision.

1) - CAI Either aftermarket or removal of air silencer box
2) - Catback exhaust or Custom exhaust
2) -Jet performance chip or wait for programmer to be available

In all above cases I went with the latter.with respect to CAI removal of air silencer was DIY and dyno's posted on LX forum have all basically equal.Custom exhaust ran me $ 441.00 and it worked out to be exactly what I wanted. In that case I felt that there was no need to replace the perfectly good H-Pipes .Cost for Catbacks goes APPOX< $890.00 plus install.I had Jet chip in .Although it did enhance throttle response, MPG gain was minimal.
Remember, in all of the of the above descriptions, this is my opinion.Make sure that you check out all of the related threads, and then make up your own mind related to your own preferences. There is a wealth of knowledge here, so don't be afraid to draw on it. Good Luck.

I suggest the 1st thing is delete the air silenecer box, cheap mod, only costs you a little of your time.
I'm partial to the stock grille so won't be spending my money on that one.

I want to get some miles on the car and brake her in then off I go. I will look into the air silencer mod soon. I had a 2002 TransAm WS6 and modded the crap out of it and sold it to a collector in Sweden. Reason for selling....too many ticket's. I had close to 500HP and just couldn't keep my foot out of it. Let's hope I don't repeat the past
I don't know much about the Hemi motor compared to the LS1. I'm not a gear head just lot's of research to find which mods work best with Dyno's to prove all. Anyway thanks folks and I look forward to being back on the board MUCH more often.
